Islanders Join Forces With TOH For Kids Hockey Clinic

MERRICK, NY — Youngsters who want to learn how to play hockey can sign up for a children's clinic. The six-week street hockey clinic is sponsored by the New York Islanders and the Town of Hempstead. One of the locations is Merrick Road Park on Friday evenings from Oct. 1 to Nov. 5. There are classes for two different age groups: Grades K-2 (5 p.m. to 6 p.m.) and Grades 3-5 (6:15 p.m. to 7:15 p.m.). There is a $125 per person registration fee, according to the Town of Hempstead website. Space is limited. You can sign up online or call 516-501-6700 for more information.
