What To Know About Fall Festival, Road Race Street Closures

EAST HAVEN, CT —The 2021 Fall Festival is being held Friday, September 10 through Sunday, September 12. The East Haven Community Road Race will also be held on Saturday, September 11. During these events, portions of the roadways will be closed to all traffic and only local traffic will be allowed to pass (Not during Road Race). Detour signs will be in place to assist motorists around the events. The following traffic patterns will be in effect: FALL FESTIVAL: • Hemingway Avenue (RTE 142) between Edward Street and Main Street will be closed to all thru traffic. River Street will also be closed to all thru traffic between Hemingway Avenue and Park Place.• Hemingway Avenue northbound will be closed at the intersection with Dodge Avenue with access for local traffic only.• Please be mindful of the detour signs on Thompson Avenue and Dodge Avenue to access points north and south of the Fall Festival.• Temporary "No Parking Signs" will be in place on Park Place (east side), River Street (north side), Chidsey Avenue (east side), and Edwards Street (north side).
