We are a trio. Retired but musically active at Retirement facilities. We are losing our lead singer, who is moving. We have been either a 2 ukulele, or 1 ukulele + 1 guitar (+ upright bass) trio.
Need a male or female voice that carry the lead most of the time, although that moves around to the other 2 players on about 1/3 of our songs.
During Covid, we spent all the time playing for ourselves, but now have gigs. Doesn’t really pay much, but we love music and the rehearsals are fun too (once a week). Thus far we have been a 2 voice duo with the 2 ladies, and occasionally a vocal trio when the male bass player chimes in.
Obviously we need someone with a bit of experience, and knows songs from the decades of the 40’s, 50’s, 60’s. 70’s, etc… almost any decade. They need to also play a ukulele or guitar and have time to do what we do. If initially a song we have is not in your key, we can adjust that.
Note: If you’re a bass payer and sings, the bass player can switch to guitar and ukulele. If interested, I will ask you to sing something over the phone, so if you email me, include your phone number.
We rehearse in Modesto, near Memorial Hospital. Presently there are 8 gigs for which we need a singer.....
