American Airlines pilots' union is planning an informational picket at major airports in October. The group's actions are in response to feelings of being overworked, tired and fed up with the lack of accommodations they've dealt with to keep up with the increased demand for travel. (FOX 4 Dallas)Dallas residents are reporting back on the effectiveness of an anti-cruising ordinance that went into effect last year. One business owner says that she doesn't think the ordinance changed prostitution much in her neighborhood, but House Bill 1540 (which made buying sex a felony in Texas) certainly did. Local police say that by their measures, the ordinance did reduce congestion, traffic violations as well as other illegal activities. (Dallas Observer)Officers arrived at the Vue on Forest Apartments in Dallas on Wednesday to find one man dead from gunshot wounds. Dallas police are requesting help identifying and locating the shooter. They have not yet released the identity of the victim.
