TROY, AL — As Troy University's "Sound of the South" marching band takes the field this football season, Trussville residents might see a new familiar face, as one of new the band members hails from Trussville. The university announced the band's new members recently, which includes multiple Birmingham-area residents: Kinneret Fox of HooverColby Koss of HooverNoah Hallman of TrussvilleDe'Shaun Cottrell, Jr. of Homewood The band, now boasting more than 300 members on a regular basis, has enjoyed success in performing at hundreds of marching band competitions and dozens of different college and professional football venues.
