SEEKING SEASONED DRUMMER for JAN-APRIL PRACTICE ONCE A WEEK IN WAKEFIELD Hello, Our drummer is going to FL for the winter after the holidays for 4 months, we are looking for a 4 month replacement, seasoned experienced drummer. We have been a band since about May and know about 15-20 songs. About us- We are an open mic band, which means every month we learn 3-5 songs… Then we find a local mic, invite our friends, neighbors or family, and show off for our 15 min of FAME! (We are not the house band). The next month we go back to the drawing board, learn 3-5 more songs, make them really solid and do it again! Friendly payless gigs are potential. (BBQ, Friends B day party, etc) We practice usually on Mon, Tues or Wed. 7-9pm in Wakefield right off of the highway at a place that has drums(full kit) already set up. Sometimes a few of us meet up at one of our houses and brainstorm or work on parts of songs that need work. Our taste in music spans from Allman Bro, Clapton, Skynyrd, Muddy Waters, Blues, BTO, J Geils, Etc. We would like to explore funk, motown and maybe low key country. 60’s-70’s some 80’s open to 90’s and new stuff that has a rock blues feel. We have a Lead guitarist(back up vox), Rhythm Guitarist, Bass Player(back up vox), Keyboard player, and me lead singer who plays harmonica. Our abilities are comfortable, we try not to bite off more than we can chew, for example, we want to honor and present the songs we do in an original manner true to the song, slight embellishments when necessary. I am not a trained vocalist, but have fun drawing in a crowd. I can send some open mic video footage if you would like, and answer any questions you may have. We would like to audition drummers in mid Oct. so if you have time to brush up on your skills if you need it, and/or learn the 3-5 audition songs. That way we can give you a month or two to learn our current list of songs so in January we can hit the ground running with you. We are a chill group of guys, ages ranging from 60's, 50's, and 30’s. No hot heads or EGO MANIACS, Just a bunch of dudes who want to keep music alive from a less complicated time. It's time to dust off the cobwebs on your drum sticks and make some noise and have some laughs! -J
