Weatherization Outreach Specialist-Bilingual This is the perfect position for a seasoned sales person with a big heart. At the end of your day, you will have connected local residents with free weatherization services including insulating their home, providing subsidies for paying their heating and cooling expenses and making their homes more durable. Much of this work will be done offsite. Location: Bend Compensation: $20.25/hour Hours: 30 hours/week Benefits: 100% premium paid Medical, Dental, Vision and Life Insurance, Agency paid Retirement plan (up to 6%), almost 16 weeks of paid time total accrual during the first five years (increases after that), plus 10 paid Holidays annually and a separate sick leave accrual Deadline: Positions remain open until filled NeighborImpact Overview At NeighborImpact, we change lives by helping Central Oregon families access skills for success, family services, financial assistance, food, housing, weatherization and energy assistance. Overview of Key Duties and Responsibilities: The Weatherization Outreach Specialist will be responsible for using their knowledge of Weatherization, building performance and construction to connect with potential clients, working as a member of the weatherization team and in collaboration with the energy assistance programs. The position will distribute and collect program applications and supporting documents, call potential clients from referral lists, and take calls from prospective clients. The Weatherization Outreach Specialist may be asked to represent NeighborImpact at selected community events and meetings. This position is an essential part of the NeighborImpact Team working to advance the mission and demonstrate our core values. This position will require bilingual (English/Spanish) proficiency. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: • High School Diploma or equivalent GED required. Two years of work experience or combination academic and work experience in sales, marketing, weatherization or construction • Bilingual Spanish language skills required • Experience working effectively and positively with people of different ethnic, cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds required • Experience working in a customer service environment preferred • Experience in direct sales or marketing required • Experience in weatherization or retrofit home construction preferred • Intermediate computer skills required including working knowledge of Outlook, Word, Excel, and internet navigation • Must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 • Prior to date of hire and throughout employment: o Valid driver’s license o Proof of current auto insurance o Access to reliable transportation required o Satisfactory criminal background check required For further details and instructions on how to apply, please visit our Website at www.neighborimpact.org/jobs
