Looking For A Bass Player - Yeah I know, who isn't

So if I can find a bass player I think I can convince a good drummer friend to show up for some hard rock jamming. Generation X (as in I don't remember the first moon landing, but do remember the first shuttle launch) guitarist/almost singer looking for the duckbill platypus of the jam scene - a bass player. Been gigging with a couple of bands over the last few years but a break from that looks pretty good right now. No pros, no conquer the worlds, no final note only players please. Just some fun jamming (for now) of complete songs (I don't play or listen to endless guitar solos), preferably west side or LAXish for my drummer friend but other locales might work. Will send song list on request to see if there's a fit for genre etc. Mostly interested in covers but always open to original stuff as I hope to someday write a song or meet someone who writes a song that doesn't suck.
