Project Superintendent Job Tech Company in Addison is hiring an experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee a small commercial remodel project. This is a single project that will last between 6 and 8 weeks. Competitive pay. Responsibilities • Work with company owners on completing necessary plans for the City of Addison and Property owners on a tight timeline. • Submit plans and applications on behalf of the company for Demolition and Electrical Permits and Inspection with the City of Addison • Coordinate scheduling of company subcontractors, consultants, inspectors and vendors to complete the project on time • Monitor work and materials to ensure quality control standards are met at various stages of the project • Communicate with the company owners, subcontractors and property management • Perform inspections or schedule inspectors to meet the varying safety and compliance regulations of property management and the City of Addison • Identify and resolve problems and conflicts, organizing meetings as necessary • Set an example in keeping the job seat organized and clean, including meeting standards for waste disposal and environmental protection Qualifications for Construction Superintendent • Previous experience of construction site management. • Ability to create plans or source plans for demolition and small changes • Good reading comprehension for technical documents, such as site plans, safety regulations, assembly and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals • Excellent verbal communications skills • Keen eye to identify non-compliance with regulations or standards and ability to suggest solutions for deficiencies or problems • Ability to stand for several hours at a time and to walk in varying climate conditions and on uneven ground • Capacity to physically lift up to 100 lbs
