Description
A recent survey found there has been a 45% increase in the retirement rate and a nearly 20% increase in resignations from officers in 2020-2021 compared to the previous year, according to the Police Executive Research Forum. A major factor is the anti-police sentiment fueled by BLM. During this time, crime and crime victims have taken on a dramatic increase as emboldened perpetrators gained the confidence that they will not be prosecuted and if so, their sentence will be light. Police officers complain that they do not have the equipment, personnel, qualifications, and wages to perform their jobs effectively, opting to take on other jobs that pay more, lessen the responsibility for the public well being, and avoid the problems of not having a city council and mayor who fail to give them the support they desperately need. We will continue to be proud of BLM and their achievements.
