Ready to learn from the best and start your new career? We'll train you! You'll go through a one-week comprehensive PAID training. From tools, brush techniques, ladder safety, and prep work, you'll be immersed in residential painting to jump-start your career. Earn a full-time, year-round role where you get to advance your career in the trades, work outside on the beautiful central coast, and stay fit! Recent candidates moved from $15 to $27 in 9 months! Your wage depends on your skills, performance, and leadership. ***The next Training Program dates are in NOVEMBER. The Position: Learn to rehabilitate homes with prep techniques, brushing, spraying, rolling, crack repair, staining and more! Train in an office environment with other apprentices before getting onto a job site. Work outdoors and with your hands. Give back to your community by giving a new look to your neighbor's home. Practice your technique and skill for a few days before you're asked to produce! M-F schedule, 32-45 hours a week (weather permitting). Overtime is offered. No selling or scheduling is required. Clear guides, pathways, and reviews for advancement. Perfect for motivated, go-getters! Once you graduate from the training program, you will earn $15-$18 while in your 90-day trial period. Depending on your advancement and abilities after 90-days, you can earn up to $22 an hour in the first six months, with regular opportunities for continued development. Prior experience may increase your starting wage. Career Paths: Carpentry Apprentice (3 - 12 Months), Job Lead (3 Months - 2 Years), Crew Lead (6 Months - 5 Years), Estimator (3 - 6 Years) About You: *Punctual & reliable *Physically capable of standing, bending, twisting, lifting and working on ladders/scaffolding all shift *Not afraid of heights, can work efficiently at 2-3 stories up *Thoughtful - you never walk away from a job site that's messy or unclean *Independent but also enjoys working with people *You're a good communicator who doesn't avoid conflict *You're an avid learner with advanced problem solving and research abilities *You stay positive and ask for help when you need it *Experience in the trades is a plus *The ability to use hand tools with precision is required *Reliable transportation with a valid driver's license is required *Ok with flexible work locations around SLO County *Aptitude for leadership, training, and customer service is required *Dedicated to making this a career, retaining the knowledge that's passed on, and advance into a leadership role quickly *We strongly encourage candidates of diverse backgrounds to apply. *Spanish speaking is a plus.
