She was at the next table in the food court at The Fashion Mall. She was in her mid-30s. Each of us was alone. I asked her what she was reading. She showed me the cover of the book - a compilation of editorials by H.L. Mencken. We talked for about half-an-hour. I wish I'd asked for contact info.
