GAC Shipping (USA) Inc. (Long Beach) is currently looking to fill entry level position. Basic task is to coordinate vessels arrival and departure, attend the vessel and coordinate the vessels activities in port. Keep principals and all interested parties fully advised of vessels activities during its port call. Qualification: Prior agency experience is preferred but not required. Must be a self-starter and possess strong interpersonal skills. Shows strong communications skills both oral and in writing. Ability to work overtime at night, weekends and holidays as required by the job. No 8-5 attitude. Prior sailing/Maritime experience is preferred but not mandatory. A high school diploma or GED is required, college is preferred but not mandatory Computer Knowledge: Working knowledge and understanding of the Microsoft family of programs and operating systems including Windows XP, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook) Working knowledge of how to send and receive email. Physically fit to board vessel via Jacobs ladder and not afraid of heights. Own vehicle is a must. Due nature of job we are looking for candidates that live in close proximity to LA/LB harbor (+/- 30 min) Send your resume in word or pdf format
