Purpose As the final step of the customer’s experience to our store, the Loading and Receiving Team Member’s role is crucial to our success. To provide superior service in locating and loading the customer’s purchase into their vehicle. This role, like the retail sales associate, is to provide the customer with a pleasant exchange and accurate order 100% of the time. To manage the warehouse’s inventory by stocking, rearranging, displaying and utilizing the FIFO (first in; first out) methodology when bring in replenishment merchandise. Job Description • Provide courteous, professional, and prompt service in whatever a customer needs. Create a shopping experience that leaves them feeling welcome for doing business with us. Offer shoppers a bright smile when greeting and a polite “thank you” when leaving; shake their hand when possible. • Begin each shift by becoming acquainted with current inventory; review daily inventory sheet to become familiar with hay inventory levels, sales and promotions. Meet with supervisor to obtain information on the day’s new arrivals and to discuss daily plans/goals. • Help customers find merchandise by leading them directly to the item(s). Point our similar, complementary, or related products of that may be of interest. If a customer is looking for a product located inside the retail store, lead them to a retail associate or Team Lead that is available to help. • Pull ticket and accurately load per ticket. Compare ticket to load, review with customer before loading. • To inform the Operations Team Lead when products is getting low in stock and/or any inventory outages. • Remove any obstructions in walkways to ensure customer and team member safety. • Report any product found damaged, opened, or unsellable to Team Lead immediately. • Become Fork Lift safety certified with the first 30 days. • Understand and adhere to Warehouse Safety Guidelines • To maintain a clean, well-organized warehouse.
