Our world over the last 1-1/2 years has been filled with trauma ... the impact of the pandemic, unemployment, financial instability, schooling children from home, social isolation or the collective trauma of living in a world that is no longer predictable. Add this to any loss or change we have experienced as a regular piece of life and there is no wonder we are feeling overwhelmed, uncertain, depressed or anxious. Lynn McLaughlin is a trainer, consultant and communications professional with 25 years of experience in the private and non-profit sectors. Lynn’s life experience, education, training in peer support systems and trauma (including her personal release of a belief system resulting from sexual abuse, domestic violence, depression and addiction) make her an exceptional peer support provider and trainer. Lynn provides consultation to organizations interested in: 1) Implementing a peer model of support; 2) Developing emotional support systems within organizations to meet the growing need for emotional crisis support; 3) Developing a community of practice utilizing the Emotional CPR framework; 4) Providing organizational training to staff on Emotional CPR, communication skills, conflict resolution, teambuilding, empathy, and strength-based supervision.
