We are one of the largest home improvement companies in Hampton Roads and are looking for some new team members. We have been in business for over 30 years, with constant growth, even throughout the recession. We do not have down time or take off because of bad weather. Our jobs range from additions, kitchens, baths, decks, porches, interior and exterior remodeling. We have a great group of guys and girls, but we are in need of more team players. We are only looking for people who are the best at what they do. We offer a great, stable place to work where you will feel like part of a big family. Although we are a pretty large company (approximately 35 employees), we continue to grow each year. With that growth means that we sometimes have to create new positions or add to management. When that happens, we try to promote within, so there may be room for growth. Our employees tend to stay with us, we do not have a lot of turn over. We believe we offer the best place to work and expect nothing but the best employees. We believe that we all have a common goal, and everyone benefits by meeting those goals. We also believe that intangibles can mean a lot, and that's an area where we believe we are above the rest! For example, each year we have a large Christmas party for all employees and their families. We choose a desirable venue and have incredible food, drinks and social time. We have games for the adults and kids and give away many prizes. It is something that everyone looks forward to each year and has allowed us to build some incredible memories. Each year we have a company fishing party in Morehead City North Carolina. We rent two of the largest homes that we can find right on the beach. We do a lot of offshore fishing as well as other enjoyable things that helps everyone forget the daily grind. We are an incredibly busy and fast pace business. You probably won't find another company who keeps as many jobs going at one time as us. As a company we have anywhere from 50-60 jobs going on at any given time. We are a general contractor, so most of our work is performed by sub-contractors. For the project managers position, the person would generally have 4-8 jobs in progress at all times. Our project managers are responsible for keeping the job running on time and budget including having sub-contractors ready to start when they are needed, calling in inspections, communicating with the customer as well as our project coordinator. Although much of the job is not so much physically demanding, there will be some physical work required to keep the jobs on schedule. This person must be knowledgeable of all aspects of construction, be a good communicator and be able to multitask. The position requires a valid drivers license with a good driving record and be able to pass a drug and background check. For the carpenters position, we are only looking for experienced individuals. We don't need helpers at this time. We do not work weekends or extremely long days, just a standard schedule which doesn't change.
