Join us for an authentic Bavarian Oktoberfest feast, pretzel making demo, beer tasting and live Musik!
Join chef-anthropologist team Richard Witting and Anna Mays and German bakeress Heike Meyer of Brot Bakery for an authentic Bavarian Oktoberfest extravaganza.
We will learn about the history of this annual festival, watch the authentic method for making lye-dipped pretzels, sample a variety of beers from Munich breweries--the only beer allowed to be served on the Wiesn--along with favorite Vermont Oktoberfest brews, and share a traditional family-style dinner featuring Bratworst and Weissworst made with local Vermont pork based on the recipes of Heike's father, a master butcher from Berlin. Vegetarian and vegan options available.
The evening will include traditional Bavarian musical entertainment.
Menu will include:
Bratworst und Weissworst
Vegetarian Sausage
Käse, Brot und Brezn
Obatzter
Wurstsalat
Radi/Radieserl
Gurkerl und Sauerkraut
Apfelstrudel
Gebrannten Mandeln and more!
Join us as we feast, drink and polka and oompah the night away...
Limited to 30 for distanced seating. Vegetarian and vegan options available. Happy to accomodate dietary restrictions.
The event will take place in Chef Richard Witting's backyard overlooking Lake Champlain, rain or shine. In the event of severe weather, we will cancel and issue a full refund.
