Description
Be a part of Colorado’s largest watershed cleanup, Creek Week! The Trails and Open Space Coalition (TOSC) is teaming up with the Pikes Peak Road Runners (PPRR) to clean up the Pikes Peak Greenway near America the Beautiful Park. We will provide gloves and trash bags. Meet in the parking lot across the street from ATB Park, to the east. Participants will get warm fuzzy feelings for doing something good and a TOSC sticker. Please wear long pants and closed toe shoes, and bring water. Let's see how much rubbish we can collect in just 2 hours! Trash and debris are common in our waterways – clogging drainage systems, impacting wildlife, affecting water quality and ruining the view of our natural landscapes. Pitch in to improve the health of the watershed for us and for those downstream! Please contact [email protected] if you have questions. Thank you for being a part of our Trail Community!!Shout out to Fountain Creek Watershed Flood Control and Greenway District for hosting the 8th Annual Creek Week Cleanup! Creek Week Safety Guidelines Crew will be required to sign Group Waiver and Release at event. If you are uncomfortable signing the group waiver or if you are bring a child, please complete this Individual Waiver and bring it with you. After the event, please complete this volunteer survey. Can't make our cleanup? You can still help by collecting data for the Fountain Creek Watershed Biodiversity Survey through iNaturalist. Be a citizen scientist and provide information on the flora and fauna you encounter in the Fountain Creek Watershed. THE PEOPLE BEHIND THE PARKS & PATHWAYS The Trails and Open Space Coalition is a 501c3 nonprofit created in 1987. We have a small staff and are governed by a board of directors. As a 501c3 nonprofit organization, the Trails and Open Space Coalition (TOSC) receives NO government funds of any kind. Most of our support comes from individual contributions and people who care about our parks and trails. A smaller part of our revenue comes from grants and fundraising events.
