Please join us on October 10th as we celebrate Nipmuc's inaugural Hall of Fame Class of 2020 Nipmuc Regional High School opened its doors in 1960 and over the nearly six decades of athletic participation has developed a rich tradition of high school athletics. In 2018, a committee gathered to create an organization to honor that tradition. The Nipmuc Regional High School Athletic Hall of Fame is pleased to announce the inaugural Hall of Fame Class of 2020. The following eight individuals and two teams will be inducted at a ceremony on October 10th at Nipmuc Regional High School: Individual: Matthew Brochu (Class of 1998)Valerie (Dugas) Sumner (Class of 1983)James Grant (Class of 1965/retired in 2013) Shelley Grant (Class of 1991) Jeremey Harvey (Class of 1991) Paula Johnson (Class of 1988) William Leaver (retired 2015)Suzanne Yanovitch (Class of 2002)Teams 1994 Boys Soccer Team2002 Baseball TeamIn announcing the members of the inaugural class, Athletic Director and Hall of Fame President Christopher Schmidt stated, “The nine committee members have worked tirelessly over the last twenty months to create a hall of fame that represents the history of Nipmuc Athletics.
