Job description
Essential Functions:As the Handyman you will perform maintenance services as needed and/or assigned, addressing immediate operational and/or safety concerns, Standard work week is Monday - Friday 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM with a rotating Saturday shift and on-call emergency response.
Duties and Responsibilities, include but are not limited to:
Troubleshoot maintenance situations involving electrical, plumbing, HVAC and appliance repair or replacement.
Perform preventive building maintenance duties such as: caulk windows and doors, replace A/C filters, clean A/C and refrigerator coils.
Performs plumbing repairs such as clogged toilets, sinks or showers, and fix water leaks.
Performs electrical repairs such as changing light bulbs, replace light fixtures, replace breakers, and replace outlet boxes.
Purchase supplies, equipment and material necessary to complete projects.
Complete unit turns
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities, include but are not limited to:
Knowledge of trades related to building maintenance and repair.
Ability to manage maintenance team and vendors.
Knowledge of a variety of building maintenance procedures and techniques.
Knowledge of machinery, equipment, and tools necessary for the maintenance and repair of facilities.
Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions.
Skilled in using hand and power tools.
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
Minimum Qualifications: High School diploma or GED and two (2) years experience in a maintenance supervisor role, or any equivalent combination of training and experience.
A valid Florida driver's license is required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $14.00 - $17.00 per hour
