Description

Join the NS Women of Color Assoc for a soul-filled brunch where you can connect in a safe and brave space with women from all backgrounds We invite women of all backgrounds and ages to join us for an event that you don't want to miss. We will hear from dynamic speakers, hear the outstanding sounds of music from Musician, Marshunda Smith, and empowering Spoken Word Artist Michelle La Poetica and Guest Host Mental Wellness / Self Care Advocate Shaunna-Lee Ruglass. In addition, we will also be able to network, share a delicious meal and make life long connections. Attendees will have the opportunity develop a vision board (guided creative activity) to envision their hopes, dreams and goals that will be a part of our collective visual community quilt that will be displayed at the Lynn museum for a short period of time as well as take a vision board home to use as tool for accountability and encouragement. More than ever as BIPOC women we need to support each others visions, support ourselves and keep sacred safe spaces like this. Community is key and we envision an event that will leave us connected and contributing to the continued investment in women of color. This event is a ticketed event so we can be sure we are remining COVID-19 safe. The purchase of a ticket will help contribute to a culturally diverse soul-filled meal and all supplies. We encourage you to bring a sister-friend, a teen from the community or stranger you've been wanting to connect and want to encourage young women and teens to attend. While we want to be sure everyone has access to this event we are happy to provide a sliding fee for tickets to teens, young women or women who are financially challenged at the moment.
