Funny Fridays @ Londonderry Lions Fri 10/1/2021 - Mocktoberfest! Ah, Fall! The leaves are turning, the air is crisp, and we're harvesting artisanal comedy, grown right here in New England. We've got another terrific evening of mirth here at the Londonderry Lions, with three of the best in the region: Jay Chanoine - Jay is a comedian from New Hampshire who performs across the country. He is a frequent member of The Altercation Punk Comedy Tour, a contributing writer to satirical humor site The Hard Times, and a recording artist for the Stand Up! Records label. His most recent album (2019’s The Texas Chanoinesaw Massacre) was produced by Grammy award winner Dan Schlissel. It debuted at the top of both Amazon and Apple Music’s comedy charts and can be heard streaming on SiriusXM’s Raw Dog Comedy channel. Named "The Funniest Comedian You Don't Know Yet" on AXS, Jay has opened for national acts like Kyle Kinane, Eddie Pepitone, Myq Kaplan and Sam Jay. He has also been featured at a variety of comedy and music festivals including The Altercation Comedy Festival in Austin, Texas and Pouzza Fest in Montreal. He is currently working on his next album for Stand Up! Records, planned for 2022 Mike Gray - In his words, he's living proof that a horrible childhood can be turned around into an equally horrible adulthood. Mike is a Portland, ME based comedian who has been performing throughout New England for 5 years, although he'd rather not count 2020. It has been said that “he has a clear character” and “...a distinct voice for dark humor.” Mike was a finalist in New England’s Best Bar Comic competition in 2017 and has competed in Last Comix Standing. Mona Forgione - With 5 surgical procedures, four pets, three kids, two shoulders full of anchors and one retired Roller Derby jersey in her closet, Mona Forgione is a Mombot by day/Stand-up Comedian by night. This Chelsea, Massachusetts native, now unsettled in New Hampshire, first stepped on stage to share her riotous tales after a journey of self-care for a midlife crisis landed her in the surgical center… twice. Now fully retired from skating, Mona’s focus is sharing takes on her life’s most ludicrous moments “for the greater good”. Where bitter meets motherly, this Stay-at-Home mother of three has gone rogue. She's a 2x finalist in the NorthEast ComicCon & Collectibles Extravaganza Comedy Battle Royale, and a semifinalist in the 2021 Boston Comedy Festival.
