A free pop-up video launch event showcasing creative stories and interiors of Des Moines' architectural gems Come join the Iowa Architectural Foundation as we launch our new series of short-format videos – ArchiTreasures! This is a free pop-up event in the Atrium at Capital Square, near the Iowa Center for Architecture. Enjoy a beverage with us, and be among the first to watch these six 3-minute videos, which take you into the interiors of amazing buildings you would rarely have access to. These artfully created videos showcase creative stories, histories, design features, colors and details of some of our most prominent Iowa architectural gems. The videos include US Bank’s Art Deco building; the Temple for the Performing Arts; American Republic (AEG); the restored Polk County Courthouse courtrooms; the catwalks and dome of the State Capitol and the Drake Municipal Observatory. Park at the municipal garage at 4th and Grand ($1) or at meters, which are monitored until 9 PM. Access CDC Guidelines for large gatherings here.
