Home based in Burlington, WA, the company is located in the premier berry growing area of the Pacific Northwest. The berry processing operations engages in packing, marketing, sales, and distribution of fresh and frozen berries grown by the Sakuma family as well as many area growers, for both the domestic and international markets. GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION The Customer Relations and Inventory Specialist is an integral role in the Company’s success. This role ensures that the supply of materials, production schedules, and inventory levels flow easily throughout the Company. Assisting the Production Accounting Manager, ensures that recovery issues are identified and brought to management’s attention. Ensures timely, efficient, and friendly customer service to all internal and external stakeholders. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES •Assists in the inventory management and reporting for all sites (all inventory reconciliations). •Responsible for accurate and timely billing for all customer shipments – including shipments out of Americold. •Responsible for all local haul logistics during harvest and non-harvest seasons. •Ensures timely and accurate order entry. •Monitors inventory balances to make sure they are accurate. •Ensures accurate and timely recording of inbound and outbound inventory. •Tracks inventory cycle counts and inventory counts. •Works and communicates between departments to keep everyone informed and aligned on inventory management status and needs, including producing and maintaining multiple reports. •Ensures supplier and delivery commitments are met through continuous follow up regarding order status and resolve problems regarding quality and supply as required. •Maintains acceptable inventory of supplies to support company operational requirements. •Responsible for system integrity and good customer relationships for all shipments including coordination with requestor and distribution center (Americold) to ensure timely product delivery. •Accurately updates required tracking systems (spreadsheets, modules, external data sources). •Processes outbound material for multiple product lines through ERP system, partnering with appropriate departments to ensure quality and quantity of material is delivered to customers. •Develops production schedules and BOMs, based on customer demand. •Responds promptly to all customer billing and shipping inquiries. Seeks to understand inventory usage, scrap, and waste, and provides strategic insights to improve inventory flow within the Company. EDUCATION & TRAINING •Associate degree in accounting or related field preferred. •Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred. KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE •Two years of accounting experience required in a manufacturing environment preferred; equivalent education may be substituted for this requirement. •Must have knowledge of MS Office products, specifically Excel, 1-2 years’ experience required. •Knowledge or experience of inventory software preferred. SKILLS & ABILITIES •Keen attention to detail. •Excellent planning and organizational skills. •Accuracy in data entry. •Excellent customer service skills are required. •Strong communication skills. •Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred. •Ability to work with minimal supervision. •Regular, predictable attendance. •Must be willing to work overtime and weekends when needed. •Multi-tasking. •Critical thinking. •Physical Elements: Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, and to reach with hands and arms occasionally. Ability to talk and to hear continuously. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds periodically. Finger dexterity is required constantly. Vision: Ability to see at close range (20 inches or less), at a distance (clear vision at 20 feet or more). Walk: Ability to sit up to 8 hours. Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, and reach with hands and arms frequently. WORK ENVIRONMENT General office environment. High energy. Interruptions are frequent. May have the need to go into warehouse and production areas at times. Production area is a wet environment with varying temperatures. HOURS / SHIFTS Day Shift, 8 hours between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
