We invite community members to gather on 9/11 to honor the attack 20 years ago. Gather for a moment of silence followed by fitness & Yoga.
On the 20th anniversary of the 2001 attacks, the magnitude of loss is revealed by this solemn formation of flags. Terrorists mistakenly believed that their heinous act would divide us when it brought us together. Posted in perfect rows and columns, the Stars and Stripes will fly in tribute to the victims of 9/11. Flags will be posted at Veterans Park and Town Center Lawn, Downtown Huntersville for all to pause and remember.
We encourage you to arrive early during the hours of the attack 20 years ago, 8:46am-10:46am to participate in a moment of silence in remembrance of those whom lost their lives and give thanks to those still serving us today.
At 11:00 be led through a 30 minute accessible fitness session by marine and ex-special forces operative turned professional trainer Brett Zile - followed by a 30 mindful yoga & meditation guided by Leela Zile U.S Army H.R Specialists turned yoga teacher and birth worker.
End the session with community discussion to raise awarness about mental health & explore sustainable lifestyle practices that support Veterans moving through the transition to civilian life.
Proceeds from the event will go to Richards coffee shop in Mooresville a nonprofit organization that is a place of support, healing and camaraderie for veterans, their families and many members of the community.
