I have two adult greater Vasa parrots available. Both have been in our aviary together but I also keep them separated in normal Parrot Cages. The male Greater Vasa is a prior breeder, He is Not Pet quality. Approx 12 yrs. $2000 The female was hand fed and is pet quality although she needs attention from being in an aviary. She should be easy to work with if you have her favorite treats. She loves head scratches and to be the center of attention. She is 6 yrs old. $4000 Both are currently Flighted. These are very rare parrots that originate from Madagascar. About the size of a Large Congo African Grey Parrot. Please do your research before considering this species. They are incredibly smart and make visual changes all throughout each year. Some examples would include, The females loose head feathers during breeding season but they grow back once the season has ended. The males also make visual changes. Both of their beaks changes from dark to bone white and back again and their feathers change from black to light grey and back again. I have included pictures of them both through out the year.
