Join us for an evening of collaborative music led by the Hope Tunnel band on the Rochambeau patio!
This "Concert and Community Jam Session", which begins at 6pm, will be led by the Hope Tunnel and attendees are encouraged but not required to bring their own instruments and join in the fun! Hope Tunnel is a group of local musicians who have been getting together for over twenty years to have fun and share the gift of music in an eclectic repertoire that runs the gamut from folk, blues, rock, jazz, traditional, Irish, pop, gospel - everything under the sun! The instrumentation is guitar, mandolin, clarinet, bouzouki, harmonica, banjo, autoharp, kazoo, slide guitar, penny whistle... and a whole lot of singing!
During our children's PVD Young Makers Grab&Go program (starting at 2pm) on the day of the event, we will be challenging kids and families to make instruments to add to the merriment and sound of the evening program! Stop by the Childrens Room to make shakers, rubber band guitars and anything else that might *sound* spectacular and loud!
Join us for a night of singing, dancing, collaborating and, of course, great music!
Donations to the Library are always welcome !
(Rain date for this Friends of Rochambeau sponsored event is Thursday, September 30 at 6pm)
