The YLS Summit is a program focused on reducing underage alcohol, drug use and encouraging healthy behaviors among youth in Johnson County.
The Youth Leadership Summit is where inspiration, motivation, activism, and change begin.
During the summit, community teams of youth and adult leaders can enhance their leadership skills and create action plans that can make a difference in preventing alcohol and other drug use and destructive behaviors in their schools and communities.
Please note that the Oct.5 session will be for middle school students and Oct. 6 will be for high school students.
COVID-19 Guidance: Based on the latest guidance from the CDC Johnson County Mental Health Center has reinstated its mask requirement. All individuals, regardless of vaccination status, will be required to wear a mask. Please remember to wash your hands, maintain physical distance (six feet) and stay home if you are not feeling well. Please note this summit may be cancelled based on current public health & CDC guidelines. If guidelines change, participants will be notified via email.
