I have a small tree service. I work with a land clearing company as an independent contractor. I am looking for a person for the second half of September who is proficient with and can safely operate a chainsaw and preferably owns their own saws. On land clearing work I typically use a 60cc-80cc saw with a 28” bar and chain. A 50 cc range saw (EX: Stihl MS261 or 026) with an 18-20” bar and chain will suffice, but I have found them to be less efficient and more work for the operator. I am also looking for a groundsperson for my residential tree jobs to hire on an as needed basis as an independent contractor. Duties to include: dragging brush, feeding a chipper, moving logs, raking up yard, working ropes…other duties to be determined. I am looking to eventually train the groundsperson to climb and prune trees and fell them safely when necessary. This temporary part time contract work could turn into an employee position in early 2022 for the right person. The daily independent contractor pay rate can vary from $100 to $200 or more depending on the project and the person/equipment for a 6 hour day.
