This Sunday we will hike through Atlanta’s own canopy of forestry at the beautiful Cascade Springs Nature Preserve. We will meet at 9:30 am for registration and temp checks. We will trek off at 10:00 am. Don't forget your mask! 😷 What to Bring: Beautiful energy, a backpack or small bag that can hold you personal items (cell phone, keys, baby wipes, etc.), water, wear comfortable hiking shoes, and a walking stick could be useful. We will provide our very own protein and iron rich trail mix, Talkn’ TrailMix. Postpartum Doulas provide physical, emotional and educational support for new mothers, babies and their families. Helping the new mother recover, process and plan her next steps on her motherhood journey. Postpartum Doulas come in to help parents thrive and feel confident which stabilizes the transition with the whole family dynamic in mind. While also being mindful of baby(ies) needs, adjusting to life outside the womb, aligned with your parenting preference. Postpartum Doula‘s provide individualized care based on your needs within their scope of practice and will refer you to your maternity providers for anything out of their scope. Healthy nutrition, hydration and proper rest are the key to recovery and healing. Located in the Atlanta area, Haydee Salas Taylor CD(DONA), has 18 years in wellness and healthcare administration. She has completed certification in Medical Interpretation, Birthing and postpartum doula work and specializes as a trained Massage Therapist. Haydee has a total of 15 years working directly with obstetricians, L&D and mother/baby units at Wellstar Cobb and Northside Hospital. She is a member of prestigious maternity advocacy groups such as Dona International, Atlanta Birth Doula, Sister Song and Maternity Wellness Hikers. She is a proud Afro-Latina, Brooklyn native and has lived in Atlanta for 25 years. Haydee is married to Marcus Taylor, and mother to 17 yr old twins Jordin and Jenesis, 10 yr old Justice and 8 yr old Journey. Haydee is the founder of Comadres Group, LLC. -an organization dedicated to supporting pregnant wombman into their motherhood journey. Securing maternity support in an ever changing world. Focusing on the modern wombman needs while respecting the beliefs and traditions of our Afro Indigenous Latin ancestry. An advocate for all wombmen and the rights to our own bodies. How, when and with whom we choose to start our families, and educating the generation coming after us, about the power and sacredness of our blessed wombs.
