Phoenix Bus Tour Explores the Spookier Side of Downtown and it's Haunted History The bus tour will include a drive by of the historic Orpheum Hotel (Adams and Second Avenue), home to the mysterious female spirit who wanders inside; a peek inside the ruin of the historic First Baptist Church on 3rd Ave and Monroe, which caught fire in the mid-80’s; a stop at the San Carlos Hotel, home to the ghost of Leone Jensen, who has haunted its halls since 1928. When: Sat, October 23, 2021, from 12-2p Where: Bus leaves from Phoenix Pioneer & Military Park. What: A guided bus tour hosted by history raconteur, Marshall Shore, who shares the hidden history of these sites. ***ALL attendees are required to wear mask*** Marshall Shore’s passion is uncovering the weird, the wonderful, and the obscure treasures from our past: the semi-forgotten people, places, and events that have made us who we are today. As the " Best Phoenix Historian,” Marshall uses storytelling magic, found film footage, old photographs, ephemera, and artifacts to bring our state’s heritage to life in entertaining and educational presentations.
