Fashion and Diversity Series: Fashion and Race Fashion and Diversity Series: Fashion and Race ( Reception To Follow ) Join area Fashion Professionals and Fashion Enthusiasts from both the Old School Era and New School Era for a conversation with designers, editors, scholars , fashion students and more on new narratives of diversity in fashion. From designers telling their stories through design during their fashion professional livelihoods to scholars groundbreaking research on the compelling histories of Africans and African Americans’ styling practices, this conversation will cover how young black fashion industry professionals are re articulating what it really means to tackle racial diversity in the fashion industry . The event is part of the “Akron Fashion Week ” events and affairs which will be observed Oct 28th . This event is free and open to the public .
