Sixtieth reunion for the Class of 61 and their spouses or companions. Lanier Class of 61 graduates and their spouses or companions are invited to attend this reunion. Due to concerns regarding the COVID-19 pandemic, only vaccinated persons are invited. The social gathering begins at 4:00 PM with beverages and appetizers. A complete dinner will be available later. The venue at Wynlakes Golf and Country Club includes indoor and outdoor spaces that provide a variety of conversation areas. We hope to provide a memorable evening reflecting on our years at Sidney Lanier High School and sharing information about our lives over the past 60 years. We are open to any suggestions regarding how to make the event achieve its maximum potential. We selected specific areas of the Wynlakes facility that are limited to 75 people. Considering concerns about COVID even among vaccinated people, 75 could exceed the maximum number of people who are likely to attend, also given short notice. Your help is needed to find more classmates and get the word out. The email list from the 50th reunion contains more than 200 names, but so far only about 70 have opened the SAVE THE DATE messages and about 40 have replied to the [email protected] address. If we learn in the next two weeks that more people want to attend, we may be able to get a larger room at Wynlakes. We are currently looking for a restaurant for a Sunday brunch gathering. This will be an optional opportunity to spend more time with classmates the following Sunday. Your suggestions are most welcome. Also, we are planning to identify a hotel or two for the out of towners who might need one. Give us a few more days. Your prompt registration will be very helpful. If we are headed to more than 75 who want to attend, we need to know soon. Thanks for your help.
