HARLEM, NY — A 21-year-old bystander has died days after being hit by a stray bullet in a Harlem shooting, police said. Kuldip Singh, 21, a resident of Richmond Hill, Queens, was pronounced dead at a hospital on Tuesday, police said. Singh's distraught parents told the Daily News that their son was in his second month as an Uber driver and was driving a mother and her son when shots rang out on Sept. 4. The shooting happened around 9:45 p.m. near the corner of West 131st Street and Frederick Douglass Boulevard. Video released by police appears to show two people walk up to an idling car, then shots being fired from inside the vehicle, causing one of the people to fall to the ground and others to flee the car. In addition to Singh, a 15-year-old boy was wounded in the shooting, police said. Police shared photos of five people wanted for questioning in connection with the shooting.
