Job description Lean Process Engineer Location: Sunnyvale, CA Summary Responsible for managing and deploying optimal de-manufacturing practices through LEAN methodologies. Drive improvements at our recycling facility to ensure optimum use of resources by developing and implementing quality control procedures to ensure that activities meet production and standards prescribed by the EHS team. Key Qualifications • Experience developing and improving the standard operating procedures • Proven experience in lean/six sigma, change management, and program management in a rapidly evolving environment • Strong verbal and written communications skills and ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations and virtual teams • Good interpersonal, teamwork, presentation skills • Ability to think strategically beyond the day-to-day execution • Strong collaboration skills with the ability to bring together a diverse group of stakeholders to brainstorm, pilot, and enact operational processes • Advanced skills in statistical analyses desired • Exposure to Recycling or De-manufacturing is a plus • Strong project management skills and the ability to work to tight project deadlines Description • Calculating production costs and metrics that include time, labor, space, equipment usage, and overhead • Ensuring processes comply with safety and quality standards • Ensure alignment with the program requirements including relevant process performance metrics & KPIs and compliance requirements/controls, in collaboration with EHS • Identify critical risks to the deployment of standardized processes. Recommend, develop and implement solutions to mitigate those risks. • Ensure there are reliable measurement and audit processes in place to drive a high standard of process performance when introducing/improving processes. • Investigating process ergonomics and coming up with solutions for any perceived issues • Maintaining records of process flow, layout, and parameters • Maintain and lead continuous improvement • Maintaining the layout of the plant using AutoCAD • Collaborating closely with EHS and engineering • Leading development and implementation of projects • Implementing lean principles and tools to facility processes • Drive the use of Dash Boards and TPM Boards • Perform trend analysis, evaluate the performance objectives and metrics to proactively identify opportunities for improved technical solutions and strategy implementation • Develop dashboards and reports for management and business partners to identify key metrics and present best practices from process re-engineering projects. • Perform Process Mapping, Gap Analysis, Value Stream Analysis, KPI management. • Be proactive in identifying continuous improvement areas in operational processes and act as a leader to drive resulting initiatives. This is a highly reciprocal position that requires working with multiple stakeholders to deliver premier process solutions. Social skills and global change management expertise are essential for this role. Education & Experience • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering (Master’s degree a plus) • 4 or more years of assembly/manufacturing experience • Lean certificate • Six Sigma Black Belt certification • Bilingual (English/Spanish) Job Type: Full-time Pay: $40.00 - $50.00 per hour
