Our mission is to extend the life of furniture & gear by making transactions of pre-owned items easier and more enjoyable. Our headquarters is located in West Berkeley. We are hiring our launch team now. Each member of the launch team will have the opportunity to impact our operational strategy. The Warehouse & Delivery (W&D) Associate starts each day at our West Berkeley Warehouse. The focus of the W&D Associate on a given day will be one or more of the following: Pick up furniture & gear items from customers throughout the Bay Area Deliver furniture & gear items to customers throughout the Bay Area Clean and prep furniture and gear prior to storage Optimally store furniture & gear items in our warehouse to enable maximum use of space and easy retrieval of items upon purchase Maintain safe, clean and orderly warehouse environment The W&D Associate’s responsibilities will also include: Serve as a Reperch.com expert and brand ambassador. Every interaction we have with a customer will be viewed as an opportunity to delight our community. Proactively execute the packing & wrapping of furniture, gear and accessories to prevent damage Solve day to day operational and logistics challenges and help the team meet or exceed company goals. Serve as committed team player ensuring the day-to-day tasks and projects are completed by the team efficiently and safely Duties/Responsibilities: Ability to move furniture from our warehouse to the truck(s). Drive the truck directly to the destination, get gas when needed. Clean and prep furniture, shrink wrap, hang art, assemble furniture, rack furniture. Problem-solve when placing furniture in hard-to-access areas. Keep warehouse clean and organized. Stock truck with supplies as needed. Required Skills/Abilities: Must possess a valid California driver’s license including maintaining company insurance requirements. Previous moving truck experience including the ability to park up to 26’ truck. Demonstrate the ability to lift 75 lbs + heavy items repeatedly Warehouse experience (stocking, loading, unloading, receiving, moving, cleaning and shrink-wrapping) Has a strong work history with references. Can easily and accurately follow verbal instructions, directions and GPS. Ability to consistently work Tuesday through Saturday. Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent. Related experience in moving, refurbishing furniture or staging is helpful. Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift 75 lbs + repeatedly. Lifting, loading, unloading heavy boxes and furniture requires physical strength and endurance.
