Description
I have an interesting project, and am looking for an intelligent, responsible, careful partner to help me figure this one out. Pay to be negotiated and is based on the resources and plan you bring to the project.
I want to move this installed 16 foot tall 1,000 lb corten steel sculpture less than 1/10th of a mile.
Uphill, then Downhill
Tight Clearances.
My thoughts thus far is to use a grinder to cut it into three pieces.
Then re-weld it at it's new placement.
We would rig ropes in surrounding trees to catch it when dismantled.
We would use block and pulley / winches to drag the pieces up hill, make a sled for it first.
When we deliver it to it's new placement the same sort of thought and care and skill and rigging would be used, along with a welder to get it back into its original form as a Totem.
Thanks,
Billl
