BEL AIR, MD — One school in Harford County will be closed Wednesday due to a power outage. C. Milton Wright High School will be closed to both students and staff Wednesday, Sept. 8, Harford County Public Schools Manager of Communications Jillian Lader reported Wednesday morning. After-school and evening activities at C. Milton Wright are canceled Wednesday, Lader said. While officials said the closure came as the result of a "continued power outage," Harford County Public Schools reported: "BGE is working on a resolution and we plan to see CMW Mustangs tomorrow!" An equipment problem likely caused the power outage, which was first reported at 8:15 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 7, according to BGE. The closure comes on the first day of school in the 2021–2022 academic year for most students enrolled in Harford County Public Schools.
