Position: Dog Bather / Junior Stylist Oh my, how our grooming department is expanding! To service our ever growing clientele, we are looking for talent to add to our existing, Amazing Team here at Woofhaus! Who we are looking for: • Some knowledge of dog behaviors and breeds (preferred) • Patience yet a confidence around dogs • Works well under pressure • Be able to be active and able to stand for 6+ hours a day • Possess a strong work ethic • Have a willingness to learn • Always a Team player • Have a Positive attitude • Be a Self-starter • Critical thinker with problem solving abilities • Self-starter • A contributor • Loves dogs AND people What the job entails: • Bathing, conditioning and blow drying dogs (short and longer haired - no doodles or poodles) • Brushing out of coats, dematting included • Nails (clip and dremel), teeth brushing, ear cleaning • Commitment to the welfare of our clients • Team attitude • Initiative, confidence & patience • Physical labor • Dedicated maintenance of safety to the dogs while under your care • Maintenance of sanitation in the facility • Cleaning • Willingness to learn and continue education The right candidate will possess a calm demeanor while working with all breeds and personality types of dogs - sometimes a lively environment. Ideally, this position grows into a junior stylist, providing light grooming duties such as trimming of feathers and feet, clean paws. We will provide training & education for the right candidate that joins our team. Room for growth and will be reflected in remuneration.
