Man Shot To Death Inside Car: Romeoville Police

ROMEOVILLE, IL — A 24-year-old man died from a gunshot fired inside his vehicle on Wednesday, Romeoville Police said. Police were called to Taylor Road west of Weber Road at 10:05 p.m. for a report of a person who was shot, police said. Officers were then told the car had driven to the 1700 block of Autumn Woods Lane in Romeoville, according to police. They found a man, identified as Dennis Lee, of Romeoville, with a gunshot wound in the front passenger area of the vehicle, police said. Officers began life-saving measures until paramedics arrived. Lee was taken to Adventist Hospital in Bolingbrook where he was pronounced dead, according to police. Police said the gunshot that struck Lee was fired from inside the vehicle. Police called the shooting an isolated incident and said there is no danger to the community.
