NEW HAMPSHIRE—Hospitals in New Hampshire are using more than 80 percent of total ICU beds available for COVID-19 patients, according to data from the NH Department of Health and Human Services.
Data shows the number of ICU beds needed for COVID patients as of Wednesday, September 7 is similar to the number of ICU beds that were needed at the end of May 2020. (Note: The DHHS says "The hospital resources shown are those estimated to be available for COVID-19 patients. We have excluded non-COVID patient needs, that is, the typical percentage of hospital beds occupied by other patients and emergencies.")
A hospital in Dover told Seacostonline it has been over capacity this week as cases of COVID-19 rise.
This week, the DHHS has reported five deaths related to COVID-19: Two women in Cheshire County, one man in Hillsborough County, one woman in Hillsborough County, and one man in Rockingham County.
