LISLE, IL — Cash, cigars, lottery tickets and booze were stolen from Lisle Liquors during a burglary early Wednesday, police say. Randy Harris, 64, of Chicago, was arrested in connection with the incident. Lisle police were called to the liquor store at 1045 Burlington after a burglar alarm was triggered around 1 a.m. When they got to the scene, officers discovered a window had been smashed with a rock, according to a news release from Lisle Police Department Deputy Chief Kevin Licko. Police say surveillance video showed someone breaking the liquor store window and reaching inside to steal items before crawling through the window, grabbing more merchandise and some cash, and then crawling out. In total, approximately $500 worth of cash and items as stolen, police say. After police shared a description of a possible suspect, an officer spotted Harris at the Lisle train station and took him into custody. Harris was charged with burglary and criminal damage to property. He was taken to DuPage County Jail to wait for a bond hearing.
