DARIEN, IL — Two men last week robbed a Darien gas station, displaying a handgun, police said.
The incident occurred shortly after midnight Sept. 1 at Shell gas station, 8226 Cass Ave, according to a Darien police report. The suspects were last seen heading south on foot. The loss was estimated at $350.

Timmie Lewis, 61, of Woodridge, was cited about 9:30 p.m. Aug. 31 at Walmart, 2189 75th St., on a charge of retail theft. Store security said the suspect was seen under-scanning items at the self-checkout lane. The person was released and given a date to appear in court.Fernando Lopez-Martinez, 51, of Chicago, was cited about 10 a.m. Aug. 30 on Lemont Road on charges of driving with a suspended license and unlawful display of registration. He was released and given a date to appear in court. Marlon Fajardo-Casco, 25, of Aurora, was cited shortly before midnight Aug. 30 on Lemont Road on charges of no valid driver's license and driving with one headlight. He was released and given a date to appear in court. A package delivered to a house was stolen about 12:30 p.m. Aug. 25. Police did not list the street where the theft occurred. The package was valued at $333. The crime was reported six days later. A car was damaged Friday in the 1100 block of Plainfield Road. It was scratched, and a word was etched on the driver's side door. A cellphone was stolen between May 1 and Sept. 3 from a room at Extended Stay America, 2345 Sokol Court. The loss was about $300.
