Description

CLEVELAND — The Buhrer Avenue pedestrian bridge over I-71 could soon be getting replaced. The Ohio Department of Transportation has proposed closing the bridge and building a replacement. To do that, the bridge would need to be closed for eight months. Construction would also lead to lane closures on I-71 during off-peak hours. Work wouldn't begin until 2024, ODOT said. A detailed project schedule would be released to the public in spring 2022. The total estimated cost of the project is $1.3 million. Before the project lurches forward, ODOT wants public input on the construction. Anyone who wishes to submit their thoughts on the replacing of the Buhrer Avenue pedestrian bridge can contact Mark Alan Carpenter, a district environmental engineer, in the following ways: By calling 216-584-2089By email via [email protected] physical mail, by sending letters to "Mr. Mark Alan Carpenter, P.E.
