Sort-Rite International, Inc. manufactures stainless steel shrimp processing equipment. Our equipment has led the global shrimp industry since 1952. We are looking for a machine operator apprentice to join our team- we will train. Job Duties: • Fabricates shrimp grader rollers and accessories in accordance with company standards and design patents • Operates horizontal lathe, grinder, band saw and drill press equipment in accordance with OSHA standards • Assists Balancing department with transporting rollers for further processing in manufacturing Required Skills: • Must know how to dimension, measure, and cut materials. • This position requires lifting approximately 10lbs to 50lbs regularly. • Helpful but not required to have experience operating a micrometer, bench lathe, plaining lathe, band saw, drill press and general mechanic knowledge for troubleshooting occasional mechanical issues. This is a full-time position (40 hours). Your regular schedule will be Mon-Fri 6:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M. Overtime is available when required.
