Press release from the Woburn Public Library: September 8, 2021 On September 22nd public libraries across the state will host a "National Book Festival Near You" event. The event opens at 7 p.m. with a group watch party of a video created for National Book Festival. The video features Isabel Wilkerson, author of Caste: The Origins of Our Discontents. After the video, there will be a discussion of the diversity and inclusion issues sparked by Wilkerson's analysis. The discussion will be led by noted historian and library advocate Byron Rushing and Salem State professor Roopika Risam.
