Public Invited to September 18 Grand Opening Celebration for City’s Newest Black- and Woman-Owned Urgent and Primary Care Practice Atlanta, September 9, 2021 – As Atlanta’s Westside experienced continued signs of phenomenal growth, board certified family nurse practitioner – Ariel Esteves, APRN, FNP-BC – couldn’t help but notice that something was missing. While the area has grown rapidly in popularity for its pedestrian experience that leads to an emerging collection of chef-driven eateries, upscale boutiques, luxury lofts, parklike settings and vibrant art scene, Esteves believed it could benefit further from an urgent and primary care practice at the heart of it all. To celebrate the recent launch of her vision – WestsideMed, the black- and woman-owned practice located at 2250 Marietta Blvd NW Suite 306 will host a Grand Opening on September 18 from 3 to 6 p.m. The celebration will include a ribbon cutting ceremony, tours of the clinic, gift bags with swag and info (while supplies last), light refreshments and an opportunity to meet the practice’s providers. Armed with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Kennesaw State University and a Master of Science in Nursing from Emory University, Esteves brings more than 15 years’ experience in serving the medical needs of patients of all ages. She has risen through the ranks from emergency department nurse clinician at a busy hospital system to director of clinical operations for a nationally recognized nonprofit managed health care plan. Today, she helms WestsideMed with her sights set on it serving as “Your Neighborhood Urgent and Primary Care.” In addition to Esteves, WestsideMed offers the services of Ned Okarter, MD. Dr. Okarter is a graduate of the esteemed Rutgers Medical School. He has been practicing medicine for the last 15 years with significant experience in hospital medicine and outpatient clinical medicine.
