Looking to contract with a professional with strong remodeling experience capable of working on jobs both independently and with other renovation professionals/trades. You must be honest, self-motivated, and dependable - In return you will get steady work from a variety of clients, excellent pay, jobsite support, a helper/laborer as needed, all without micro-management. This job is for someone who has done it all and no longer wants to work "for" someone else or deal with the hassle of bidding jobs. There is the opportunity to build a small crew around you if you are capable and desire to grow/build something as well. (Please note, all these photos are of actual projects that we have contracted here in Pittsburgh, most of which have been large renovations - They should give a good idea of the work style, type and quality.) We help coordinate property maintenance and remodeling projects for rental property owners/investors across the City of Pittsburgh, and always have work available. Your day-to-day will vary by job. For example, you may be able to complete a drywall repair for an occupied apartment on Monday, and then frame walls and install tile on a vacant remodeling jobsite the rest of the week. Applicants must possess AT LEAST the following: - Strong experience and proficiency in general remodeling work, including; framing, installing cabinets, interior & exterior doors, trim/casing, windows, drywall hanging/finishing, & tile work. - Strong ability to troubleshoot problems and creatively problem solve independently. - Basic proficiency in electrical & plumbing, concrete work, landscaping, and exterior siding/flashing work. Should be able to troubleshoot problems and make repairs/minor work. - Their own tools to include: hand / power tools, shop vac, brooms/dust pans, shovels, ladders, etc. - Driver's license. - Their own reliable transportation. We have jobs all around the city, so applicants must have reliable year-round transportation. Vehicle must be able to transport reasonable construction materials to the job as needed. - Strong work ethic with desire to complete tasks properly and on time. - Interpersonal & communication skills. You will be occasionally interacting with tenants & often with other tradesmen. - General fitness to complete construction work, including ability to lift/carry 50 lbs. - Ability to work from ladders. - Cell phone, preferably a smart-phone that can take and receive photos. - Proper insurance coverage - We can help you with this. Flexible as you set your jobs, with ability to have access from 32-40 hours of contracted work weekly, 1099.
