Description
It's nothing new, and every healthcare worker working has had them, and never before objected to them in any way whatsoever.
For those who don't know or have forgotten, healthcare workers have had mandated vaccinations their entire career. And no one ever complained before. For that matter, so have students, teachers, and childcare workers, tho the requirement list might vary a bit for each. This is nothing new. What's the big deal??
Give or take 1 or 2, listed below are the immunizations (vaccinations) that have already long been *required* for almost all health care personnel, to even start their careers, pretty much forever. Without them, you can't even get into school to train, and it's nothing new, it's always been like that, SOP, and no one complains their civil liberties are being violated, or there's govt overreach, or any other sort of such nonsense:
- DT or DTP or DTap (Diphtheria)
- OPV / IPV (Poliovirus Vaccine)
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella)
- Tetanus (within 10 years)
- Varicella (Chicken Pox)
- Hepatitis B
- Influenza Immunization
8 or 9 different diseases. *Required*, because of risk of exposure or risk of exposing someone else. No one even raises an eyebrow about this.
So what's the big deal, to include coronavirus, our current most deadly, highly infectious disease that in many places is overwhelming our healthcare systems and for which we have a safe, highly effective vaccine? Ridiculous.
These folks complaining about vaccination requirements, who already happily got all their other required vaccines without so much as a peep about either vaccination risks or civil liberties - what hypocrisy! - are dragging their politics into an area that should never have been political to begin with, and worse, letting their political views take precedence over their medical training, and compromise their duties of safety and care to their patients. It's shameful.
