Hey what’s up everybody, I write and produce alternative rock music under the name the young love scene https://soundcloud.com/theyounglovescene TYLS is already quasi-established i.e. 17 songs released, 360 web presence, some good streaming numbers, some press, a little radio play etc I’m thinking it’s time to form the band! I’ve got a few musicians - drummers and bassists - who have expressed interest in the project, so the last major missing piece now is lead guitar I’m looking for the James Iha to my Billy Corgan, basically - thorough musicianship, great meter, tone to the bone, ability to sing harmonies, and energy are what’s up Most of the time your job would be riffing along with me, thickening up the rhythm section, reverb/feedback swells, sick little ostinatos, and the ancient art of guitar weaving - serving the song! Influences include Smashing Pumpkins, Dinosaur Jr, MBV, Beatles, Sabbath, Ride, Pink Floyd, Ramones, Hovvdy, Nirvana, etc I’m looking to put together a dedicated, committed band - once the lineup is solid, I wanna do weekly shows from here down to DC, regular rehearsals, frequent video/photo shoots, lots of recording etc If you’re interested plz reply with some samples of your playing and a lil about yourself or come find me on IG Rock on y’all!
